From grapes from 25 years old vines of Alfrocheiro (80%) and Bical (20%, white grape) planted in Quinta de Valdazar, in the region of Bairrada, located 10 miles from the Atlantic coast. The blend co-ferment during 10 day in tanks of 1000litres, followed by a short maceration and light pressing.
The fermentation of the lots was initiated naturally, followed by a stage of 10 months in raw cement tanks (old barrels of 300 litres), in contact with fine lees.
