Dão 016
Dão 016
Casa de Mouraz Natural Red wine is produced from typical Dão grape varieties, cultivated in an ecological way, in absolute respect of its terroir of origin. The grapes come from vineyard plots with an average age of 40/50 years, with granite soils and an average altitude of 300/500m, located in Mouraz, municipality of Tondela.
After rigorous selection of the grapes in the vineyard, they were transported to the cellar in small perforated boxes. The natural vinification (by vine and not by variety) took place in stainless steel vats with temperature control, followed by a long maceration. Part of the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 8 months.
Casa de Mouraz Natural Red Wine presents an intense bouquet of ripe red fruits, blackberry, cassis and cherry. In the mouth it is vibrant, with firm, well-ripened tannins and a long finish.
